Shashtiabdapoorti Puja Vidhi | Steps

1. Preparations

  • Date Selection based on Muhurtham: Selection of auspicious date and time (muhurat) with the help of an astrologer.
  • Venue Selection: Selection of venue or place for the ceremony and prepare the altar with idols or images of deities.
  • Material Preparation: Required important items such as kalasha (sacred pot), fruits, flowers, incense, camphor, ghee, coconut, turmeric, kumkum, rice, and puja thali.

  • The main participants (the individual turning 60 and their spouse) take a vow (sankalpam) with the priest to complete the rituals with devotion.
