Placing the idol in Paddy(before Pratishta)

Before the Pratishta, the stone Nagaraja idol is reverently placed overnight, in a sacred arrangement of raw paddy grains, symbolizing fertility, prosperity, and life energy. The paddy acts as a divine seat (asana) for the deity and represents Bhudevi (Mother Earth) nurturing the divine serpent. As the idol rests in this sanctified grain bed, Vedic chants and purification rituals are performed to awaken the spiritual essence of the idol.  Panchsukta Parayanam

 Abhishekam to Naga Shila Pratima
