Sathyanarayana Pooja | Phalgun Poornima Special

Sri Sathyanarayana Pooja Vrat is performed on Phalgun Poornima with the Sankalpam (Resolve) to Lord Vishnu in the form of Sri Satya Narayana Swamy, seeking his benevolence to remove all the obstacles and negative forces and lead to victory or success in all the endeavours. Sri Satyanarayan Vrat or Katha is performed with Puja offerings and Satyanarayan Katha is recited. This Vrat is also observed after important events like Gruha Pravesha Puja, beginning of new Ventures, Marriage or after successful completion of major events.

Phalgun Purnima 2025

Phalgun Purnima is an important day for Hindus occurring on the ‘Purnima’ (full moon day) in the month of ‘Phalgun’ in the Hindu traditional calendar on 14^th March, 2025.

Holi or Holika Dahan 2025 | Kaam Dahan 2025

The festival of Holi or Holika Dahan is celebrated on 14th March, 2025, to commemorate many events that took place on this day. In Krit Yug, Holika Dahan took place. Holika Devi, the sister of Hiranya Kashyap tried to finish off Prahlad, as ordered, by sitting in a lit pyre. Kaam Dahan also took place on this day, according to Puranas. Lord Shiva, angered by the trick done by the God of Love, Kaamdev or Manmatha, burnt him down, when all the Gods and Goddesses keen about the marriage of Shiva and Parvati had sent him to initiate love. However, after Kaam Dahan, Uma Maheshwara Kalyana or the divine marriage of Shiva Parvati took place.

Holi, the colorful festival is celebrated all over India, spraying each other with Gulal and other colors. All devout Hindus, men and women, young and old participate in playing the colorful Holi.

In the Hindu Puranas, Purnima is known to be an important day for performing religious and spiritual rituals.

Sri Satyanarayana Puja Vidhi

Sri Satyanarayan Puja is performed with ‘Shodashopachar’ Puja offerings with either the idol or image of Satyanarayan set in a Mantap or high altar. Shri Satyanarayan Katha is recited along with the Puja. Nivedan or Bhog is offered to lord.

Satyanarayan Vrat Katha is said to be capable of yielding Chaturvidha Kaamyas (Also known as four types of Purusharthas) like acquiring wealth, prosperity, harmony in family and success in life.

Satya Narayan Pooja is highly recommended for business or career growth and can be performed on any day. Auspicious dates like Ekadashi and Pournami of any month are the most preferred ones. You can also perform Puja in the evenings.
